ABOUT THE JOB

The Supply Chain Assistant is responsible for the effective monitoring of the Brand assigned to him/her. As a Supply Chain Assistant you will be responsible for the handling of the specific Brands as well as covering the Supply Chain Manager’s position in his absence.

The Supply Chain Assistant reports to the Procurement Division, under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager, who determines and monitors the fulfillment of objectives , as well as the limits of his/her authority. All members of the Procurement-Purchasing Division report to the Supply Chain Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of the company’s procurement portfolio, ensuring transparency of costs in terms of Purchases of Products and consumables
  • Monitoring the Company’s Purchasing model
  • Analysis and calculation of supply costs and suggesting methods to reduce costs
  • Devising negotiation strategies and securing profitable deals
  • Working with partners to ensure agreement on terms and procedures
  • Assess risks and implement risk minimisation techniques
  • Finding and working with reliable vendors and suppliers
  • Determining the quantity and timing of deliveries
  • Communicating with vendors regarding shipment of orders and confirming shipments.
  • Communication and cooperation with customs office and transport companies
  • Notification of changes in carry over code prices to retail
  • Collaboration with the Finance Department in order to make the Purchases-Movements process more efficient.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven work experience in the procurement department
  • Familiarity with procurement and vendor management software or other related software
  • Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgment
  • Ability to negotiate and maintain networking relationships
  • Familiarity with numbers and the collection, analysis and interpretation of data
  • Sound judgement and ability to make good decisions
